While you dont take control of matches yourself, youre in charge of hiring and firing your manager and giving him the tools (players / transfer budget / moral support) he needs to take your team to greatness!

The game offers (reasonable IMO) IAPs which allow you to bolster your bank balance in the game. You dont have to use the IAPs to get your favourite team promoted, but a little help from a friendly Arab billionaire never hurt!
